WoW Dragonflight 10.1.5: Possible New Trinkets From Dawn Of The Infinite Revealed

Players have discovered what appear to be new trinkets called Paracausal Fragments that can presumably be obtained from a new mega-dungeon. What are they, and what do they do? Let’s find out!

What are Paracausal Fragments?

The new Patch 10.1.5 build revealed new items we can acquire once the update is out – Paracausal Fragments. Their names suggest they are pieces of famous legendary weapons from the past, such as Doomhammer, Frostmourne, and Sulfuras. Each of those fragments has its own effect that’s applied when the trinket is equipped.

So, without further ado, here are the Paracausal Fragments that are known at the moment of writing and what effects they provide.

Paracausal Fragment Effect
Your harmful spells and abilities have a chance of summoning Fel
Elemental to fight by your side that can deal 1775 Fire damage to your
targets and increase your Haste by 212
Your melee attacks and abilities have a chance to Doomstrike/Kingstrike
your target, inflicting 1609 Holy/Nature damage. To use it, let loose a
5-hit combo on your target, dealing 35,050 Physical damage and
releasing a Doomstrike/Kingstrike with each blow

When anything dies near you, it grants you up to 10 Lost Souls

Your auto attacks have a chance to inflict 2681 additional Fire damage,
while your harmful abilities have a chance to make the fragment erupt,
dealing 2234 Fire damage that splits between all enemies standing near.
Also, the fragment has a chance to react to you taking damage and
counterattacking for 2681 Fire damage.
Your healing spells have a chance to grant you Blessing of Eternal Kings
for 15 seconds, allowing your heals to shield the target that absorbs up to
16,096 damage for eight seconds.

Besides these, there’s also an Anomalous Fragment of Seschenal that has a slightly different name and also doesn’t have any effect yet. Some suggest that the fragment might be tied to the Seschenal staff of the titan Eonar (according to the non-cannon sourcebook Shadows & Light). Moreover, others think we won’t see this piece in the game as it might be just an idea the devs don’t want to proceed with. We guess we’ll see.

On top of that, we still don’t know the source of these Paracausal Fragments. Many assume they’ll be obtainable as rewards from the new Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon. However, there are speculations that they can be acquired from Time Rifts or simply be patch-specific items like Onyx Annulet

Nevertheless, no matter what source there might be for Paracausal Fragments, they sure sound exciting, and we’ll definitely be after them in Fractures in Time.
