The Setting
This should be one of the most unique and interesting dungeons. The prevalent theme here is the Cowboy Tex Mechanica with clear nods to the western movies that can be traced throughout the dungeon’s rewards, a title, and more, as you will see shortly.
As mentioned above, the dungeon goes live after the reset on December the 9th and will only be available to the owners of the Deluxe edition of The Witch Queen expansion or those who purchased the access key from the in-game store for 2000 Silver.
For this dungeon, you and your team of Guardians will have to fight against the Vex and ultimately defeat Persys The Primordial Ruin. Upon completion, you’ll get a chance to get the new exotic which we’ll talk about next.
The New Exotic Bow, a Seal and a Title
The Hierarchy of Needs exotic bow is going to have some interesting traits as it comes with a new mechanic called “Guidance Rings”. This mechanic provides an increase in accuracy and damage when firing an arrow though the rings. It’s kind of similar to Ticuu’s Divination, only reversed. But Hierarchy of Needs won’t be the only reward you’ll be able to get out of the new dungeon.
There will be a new seal and title “Wanted!” available for this new dungeon. The seal comes with a cool-looking sundial. In order to get both, you will need to complete all of the challenges and triumphs associated to the dungeon. Those include:
- Completing the dungeon on Master difficulty
- Completing the dungeon solo
- Completing the dungeon in a fireteam where every member has the same subclass
- Completing all of the encounters and finding all of the devilish recordings while in the Spire of the Watcher
By completing these trials you’ll increase your drop chances at getting the Hierarchy of Needs from the final boss. Thanks to the continued efforts by everyone over at Reddit and Discord through Destiny 2 leaks, we also know about the two new emblems that will be featured with this Dungeon.
These emblems will be rewards that will come after completing different encounters and by discovering the hidden chests that are within the dungeon.
Dungeon Weapons and Armor Sets
Every class will be able to attain a cool-looking set of armor. On top of that, there are four new weapons that players will be able to earn by completing the Spire of the Watcher dungeon are called the Tex Mechanica weapons and they are all clearly Vex-inspired.
Fans have been able to dig up their names as well:
- Long Arm Scout Rifle
- Into the Sunset Grenade Launcher
- Terminus Horizon Machine Gun.
- The name of the fourth weapon is unkown

Since it became tradition for dungeons to include six weapons in total – five legendary ones and one exotic, we’ll likely see more weapons when this dungeon releases. We might also see a new Ghost shell, new Sparrow and or ship available with this dungeon. All of them will be playing off of this Western’s Cowboy theme.
At the time of writing this, we don’t have details as to what the perk combinations for these weapons will include. However, based on the seasonal artifact, we know that they will include an Origin trait called “Tex Balanced” which improves the handling and stability of these weapons.
