Overwatch 2: Season Two Launches Today!

With a new season comes a fresh map pool, and this time there’s something extra special in store. Along with ‘Shambali Monastery’, fan-favorite maps Rialto and Blizzard World are back! Oasis and Nepal are also getting a makeover with new themes, while Gibraltar and Hollywood are moving out of rotation.

For those of you who love a challenge, don’t forget about the limited-time game mode ‘Battle for Olympus’ – available from 5th January until 19th January. You won’t want to miss out on the incredible Greek-themed cosmetics in the new battle pass either! If you’re not ready to buy it, don’t worry – you can still unlock all the free rewards. And don’t forget, the hero unlock system from Season 1 remains unchanged, so you’ll need to grind your way to level 55 if you want to unlock Ramattra for free in Season 2.

If you missed out on unlocking Kiriko in Season 1, or you’re brand-new to Overwatch in Season 2, there’s a great way to unlock new heroes! Catch-Up Hero Challenges let you get to know the abilities of the hero you want to unlock, and then challenge you to win games in Overwatch.
