A Stellar Exotic Mission

Destiny-2-Into-the-Light

Recommended Fireteam Setup

While it is possible to complete the Zero Hour mission in Destiny 2 with any combination of classes, especially on the normal difficulty, for a smoother and more efficient run, particularly on the legend difficulty, we recommend the following subclass composition:

  • Sunbreaker Titan: Hammer Strike is excellent for dealing with majors and ultras.
  • Gunslinger Hunter: Golden Gun or Blade Barrage supers are invaluable for clearing tough enemy waves.
  • Dawnblade Warlock: Well of Radiance provides crucial healing and buffing, while Attunement of Flame excels at add clear.

This team composition is optimized to tackle the challenges that Zero Hour in Destiny 2 throws at players, especially at higher difficulty levels. However, feel free to experiment and find the composition that best suits your playstyle and preferences.

Essential Loadout Tips:

  • Equip Whisper of the Worm exotic sniper rifle for high-damage precision shots on bosses and tough foes

  • Bring weapons with diverse elemental affinities to break enemy shields efficiently

Zero Hour Mission Walkthrough

Step 1: Initiate the Mission

  • Travel to the Farm in the EDZ and locate Mithrax in the basement of the main building.
  • Interact with Mithrax, the Fallen Captain you rescued in the “Enemy of My Enemy” mission on Titan, to begin Zero Hour.

Step 2: Tower North

  • Hug the left wall and use crates for cover as you push forward.
  • Enter the vent on the right as soon as possible.
  • In the open area, prioritize taking out Shanks and Captains using appropriate elemental weapons.
  • Aim to clear this section with around 19 minutes remaining.

Step 3: Tower Hangar

  • Coordinate with your team to simultaneously eliminate snipers on the upper walkways and mobs on the left side.
  • Prioritize Servitors to prevent them from shielding other enemies.
  • Once the upper level is secure, focus on the remaining ground targets, including the Spider Tank.
  • Use Whisper of the Worm to make quick work of the Spider Tank.

Step 4: Tower Watch

  • Advance through the corridors, clearing out Fallen resistance.
  • Find the hidden tunnel underneath a grounded airplane to reach the next area.

Step 5: Passage

  • After dropping down, turn around and shoot the grate behind some crates to reveal a vent.
  • Navigate the path to the Tower wall and locate the hanging object.
  • Perform a precise jump to land on the catwalk and activate the lever, creating a shortcut for your teammates.
  • Proceed through the vents until you reach an elevator shaft.

Step 6: Ventilation

  • Enter the vent on the right side upon dropping into the new area.
  • Split into two teams to locate and activate four levers hidden in the maze below.
  • Exercise caution and utilize stealth to avoid the deadly patrolling robot.
  • Wait for the electric barriers to temporarily subside after pulling each lever before moving on.
  • Exit the maze on the opposite side from where you entered.

Step 7: Vault

  • Approach the Cryptarch symbol near a pipe-covered wall to unveil a hidden doorway.
  • On Normal difficulty, simply cross the white tiles to access the secret vault.
  • On Heroic, you’ll need to navigate a shifting tile pattern that changes weekly.

Step 8: Tower Ruins – Siriks, Loyal to Eramis

  • Retreat to the far end of the room to avoid being overwhelmed by enemy fire.
  • Use Whisper of the Worm to deal consistent damage to Siriks from a safe distance.
  • Swiftly destroy major Servitors as they appear to keep Siriks vulnerable.
  • Employ Whisper of the Worm to eliminate Spider Tanks efficiently.
  • Defeat Siriks and clear the remaining enemies to complete the mission and earn Outbreak Perfected.
