Collecting All Diablo 4 Altars of Lilith

Collecting all Altars of Lilith in one path can be a worthwhile way to pass the time before the D4 Season 1 start. Though it may initially seem daunting, the gaming community has shared various map tools that illustrate the Altars of Lilith and other crucial collectibles like ores and plants.

A special mention to Redditor gogodr, who has created a unique route, which was then further developed into a high-resolution version, for players who aim to collect all Diablo 4 Altars of Lilith in one journey. The journey commences from the southwestern part of Sanctuary, specifically in the Kehjistan zone. The proposed route, represented in orange, details the overall travel direction to each Altar of Lilith. At the same time, the light-blue offshoots guide you to altars situated close to the optimal path.

This inclusive route is designed to avoid cities, allowing you to maintain high mount speeds consistently. Though it doesn’t claim to be the fastest, it draws from gogodr’s original map and introduces alternative routing strategies that should expedite your quest to locate all Altars of Lilith.

Collecting all Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4 enhances your gameplay experience and dramatically benefits your seasonal character in two significant ways:

  1. Accomplishing this task will boost your character’s stats by 68 points. Since Level 1 character stats typically commence in single digits, this improvement equates to an incredible augmentation of your early-game character power.
  2. Collecting all Altars of Lilith in the Eternal Realm bolsters your initial Renown level in the Seasonal Realm as your altar progress carries over to all your seasonal characters.

Boost Your Diablo 4 Renown

Example of Diablo 4 Renown System

Exploring the map and uncovering the Altars of Lilith can significantly bolster your Season 1 rewards. In Diablo 4 Season 1, Renown points are critical, and there are several ways to acquire these – including through map exploration.

Start by checking your current map progression. Unveiling the game’s map is a one-time effort, and your progress will continue to your seasonal characters. Uncover most zones while working on your campaign and the Altars of Lilith Diablo 4 for maximum impact.

Here is what you need to know about Renown points:

  • A fully unveiled map and a complete Altars of Lilith collection get you close to completing Renown Level 3 in all zones.
  • If you manage a few Side Quests, reaching Renown Level 3 and that second round of 5 Skill Points should be achievable – assuming you’ve done your pre-season work.

A detailed look at Kehjistan, for example, shows:

Activity Renown Points
Total Renown needed for the first two Renown Tiers 500
Total Renown from all Altars of Lilith 310
Total Renown from all Areas Discovered 270

Spending time exploring the world of Sanctuary now, including all Area Discoveries and Altars of Lilith, can gain you a total of 580 Renown in Kehjistan, even before any other type of Renown gain. When Diablo 4 Season 1 starts, your fresh, level 1 character can instantly claim +1 Potion Capacity and +1 Skill Point in every zone.

Preparing for Diablo 4 Season 1 with the Campaign

The “Skip Campaign” button

It is essential that before the start of D4 Season 1, you complete the entire campaign, as its progress will carry over to the seasonal realm. By doing so, you unlock the “Skip Campaign” button, allowing you to avoid repeating the storyline and dive straight into the grind when Season 1 starts.

Let’s break down how the campaign functions in Diablo 4:

  1. You only need to finish the campaign with one character, though you can repeat it with others.
  2. Campaign progress is character-specific and not account-wide, meaning you can’t split the completion between multiple characters.
  3. Once completed, any additional characters you create will have the option to “Skip Campaign.”

Crucially, completing the campaign is necessary to unlock key content, including mounts, the Diablo 4 Tree of Whispers bounty system, the ability to progress beyond World Tier 2 (Nightmare), and certain side quests.

The campaign is segmented into six Acts, plus an Epilogue correlating to the game’s five significant zones.

  • Act 1 – Fractured Peaks – A Cold and Iron Faith
  • Act 2 – Scosglen – The Knife Twists
  • Act 3 – Dry Steppes – The Making of Monsters
  • Act 4 – Kehjistan – A Gathering Storm
  • Act 5 – Hawezar – Secrets Bartered, Fates Sold
  • Act 6 – Hell – Dance of the Makers
  • Epilogue – Various – From the Wound Spilled

In the first three Acts, you can choose the order of completion, but for the following ones, the order depends on your choices in the earlier Acts. For instance, completing the first chapter of Dry Steppes (Act 3) before starting anything in Scosglen (Act 2) will switch the order of Acts 4 and 5, granting you earlier access to the lucrative Tree of Whispers bounty system.

Choose Diablo 4 Build

As we anticipate the Diablo 4 Season 1 start date, the question on every player’s mind is, “Which build is the best season starter?” Given the introduction of the Season of Malignant, the answer is crucial. This season will hinge on the in-game mechanics, where Elite damage and swift AoE clear might still dominate.

In our build guides, you will find a detailed breakdown of the pros and cons for each build, tactical advice for using them, and insights into their effectiveness for different play styles and tasks.

Log In on July 18 - A Must-Do for Diablo 4 Season 1

The upcoming Season of the Malignant is full of exciting possibilities, with new content and Diablo 4 Season 1 rewards on the horizon. However, before taking full advantage of these opportunities, you must consider an essential step – logging in on July 18 after Patch 1.1 has been deployed. It will ensure your character progress “carries over” to the Seasonal Realm, even before Diablo 4 Season 1 start.

This tip holds particular significance for Hardcore players. Joseph Piepiora, Diablo 4 Associate Game Director, clarified in the last week’s Developer Update Livestream that a Hardcore character must stay alive until the next patch, set to release on July 18. Once players have downloaded this patch and logged into their characters, they can start sharing their Renown progress with all other characters on the account. Conversely, if a Hardcore character dies before this date, players will lose the ability to share this progress across their accounts.
