Introducing Vondel: New Warzone 2 Map

According to the date the Season 3 Battle Pass is set to expire, we should expect the next update to arrive on June 14. For now, not much is known about Season 4, as no official announcement from the devs has been made yet. However, some leaks appearing online revealed that the new map that will make its way to the game is called Vondel (the possible alternative name – Floating Bay) and is set in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Maybe it means that we see something familiar from the Modern Warfare II campaign?

The name is based on the public park called Vondelpark, located in the southern part of the city. And though we don’t have any map images (unfortunately), we have the placeholders the data miners have discovered in the game’s files.

As shown in the images, Volden looks like an urban area with many houses and windmills in front and in the center of it. Additionally, we should expect the day and night versions of the map.

As for the size of a map, it’s smaller than Al Mazrah but bigger than Ashika Island, so there’ll be plenty of space to explore. The studio behind Vondel is Beenox, which brought us Rebirth Island from the original game.

Moreover, there are rumors that Vondel is a Resurgence map that will later support Battle Royale and DMZ, but we have to wait for official confirmation from the developers.

What POIs Will Vondel Feature?

Some leaks revealed that the new map will introduce 12 Points of Interest, and we know what appears to be their names. So, let’s see what these POIs are:

  1. Aquarium
  2. City Hall
  3. Fire Station
  4. Nieuwe Stadspoort
  5. Old Museum
  6. Floating House
  7. University
  8. New Museum
  9. Police Station
  10. Stadium
  11. Cruise Terminal
  12. Train Station

As for other details, we need to wait for the official news from Activision. Once we learn more, we’ll update the article.

This is all the info we have for now about this new Vondel map that is allegedly set to arrive in the game in the new season. Its description, scale, and POIs sound promising, and we just can’t wait to see what the new area looks like. Now, we can only hope that the devs will share official details about the new season and the map soon.
