Shadow Priests have consistently struggled with high-movement fights and short-lived adds, both of which are prevalent in Nerub-ar Palace. This has led to a subpar performance, placing them near the bottom of the charts at the 75th percentile. The spec’s middling single-target damage exacerbates the problem, and with the lack of Ovinax kills overall, we’re only getting data from the first four bosses. Tuning changes might help, but Shadow Priests’ toolkit is fundamentally unsuited for these encounters, and the class design itself feels sluggish, especially when compared to others.
Frost Mage

Frost Mages are currently lagging behind in Mythic Nerub-ar Palace due to their performance on encounters with more than two targets. While Frost excels in two-target cleave, Fire Mages dominate in larger cleave situations thanks to their mastery of Ignite. Furthermore, Arcane remains the top choice for single-target encounters, further sidelining Frost. External buffs like Power Infusion also favor Arcane and Fire more than Frost, impacting its overall raid viability. Upcoming changes in 11.0.5 should ease some of these issues by simplifying Splinterstorm management, which will help Frost Mages keep up.
Subtlety Rogue

Subtlety Rogues are facing a particularly tough time in this raid tier. The cleave mechanics in Nerub-ar Palace don’t play well with Subtlety’s focus on burst and single-target damage. Moreover, many Rogues are switching to Outlaw or Assassination, which handle these encounters better. The lack of tier sets early on in the season has also impacted Rogues’ ability to perform optimally in Mythic content. Hopefully, future patches will address some of these disparities and allow Subtlety Rogues to regain a competitive edge.
