What is the Aspect of Quicksand?
Before we dive into the dungeon, let’s say a few words about the reward you get for completing it. Upon finishing Feral’s Den, you’re granted an Aspect of Quicksand, which is a Diablo 4 Druid-only Legendary Aspect. What makes it special is that it slows enemies by 25-50% for 5 seconds when you use the Earth skills. That way, you can easily control the battlefield and deal damage to foes, who will have problems dodging your attack, which might be crucial during the fight.
If such a powerful addition to your Diablo 4 Druid builds sounds appealing, you should definitely obtain this Aspect. And this guide will help you with this.
How to Locate Feral's Den?
This dungeon is located in Moordaine Lodge in Scolsglen. However, you won’t see it on the map at first. In order for it to show, you must complete Moordaine Lodge Stronghold. And for that, you need to focus on two objectives – find three Lodge’s Missing Hunters and fight the Beast of Moordaine.
The hunters you need to find are the Ganwed Hunter, the Punctured Hunter, and the Mauled Hunter. The first one can be found close to the entrance. But be careful – when you engage with the hunter, a lot of monsters will appear. It might take you by surprise, so remember this and be ready for a fight.
You may find the Punctured Hunter in the northwest and the Mauled Hunter in the northeastern parts of the fortress. Each of them is surrounded by foes that you need to defeat before you can engage with the hunters.
Once you interact with the last one, the Beast of Moordaine will appear. The attacks you should be careful with are a stomp attack, a slash attack combo, and a tornado summoning combo. The best strategy here is to not get close to the boss and use high DPS ranged attacks or spells.
When the boss is defeated, you need to ring the Shrine bell, and then Feral’s Den will be shown on the map in the area where the beast was slayed. After that, you can proceed to the dungeon itself.
How to Complete Feral's Den
In order to finish the dungeon, you need to complete a few objectives. One of these is collecting Animus from Animus Carriers, denoted by a skull icon on the map. Once you get enough, you need to put them in Animus Urn marked with a white icon. After you complete this objective, a blocked path will open, and you can get further into the dungeon.
The next objective is to go to the Feral Depths and activate two Runestones, denoted by a white icon on the map and surrounded by spiders and other foes. When you interact with them, you can go to the Ritual of Rampage, where the final boss Innes, Vengeance of Glóra-An-Fhaidhá, will await you.
Among her abilities is a wind blast, which she charges before unleashing a massive blast of wind around her. During this time, she’s most vulnerable, and you need to use this moment to attack her and then dodge the ability at the last moment. Sticking to this strategy will increase your chances of winning.
After you defeat the boss, you will get rewards, among which is the coveted Aspect of Quicksand.
