Path of Exile is a free-to-play online action role-playing game developed and published by Grinding Gear Games. The new Path of Exile: Crucible promises to be an exciting addition to the game. It will be a fast-paced, timed event where players will compete to survive waves of monsters and earn rewards.
Path of Exile is set in a dark and gritty world, where players take on the role of an exile who has been banished to the land of Wraeclast. It was released in 2013 and has since gained a large following. It is widely known for its challenging gameplay, which focuses on exploration, character development, and loot acquisition.
What's New On Path of Exile: Crucible?
In Crucible, you’ll be able to find out who the ancient Titans were and how they shaped the primordial surface of Wraeclast. And if you are strong enough, you may even learn their skills to fuse their power into your weaponry.
There will be numerous Crucible Forges located all around Wraeclast. By locating one, you can choose a weapon from your arsenal and channel the power of the ancient Titans to enter an encounter. The longer you channel, the more challenging the encounter will be; this means the measure of your rewards is entirely up to you.
Weapons now can also be impregnated with Passive Skill Trees. Through Crucible Forges, you can gain experience in revealing the tree on one of your weapons and slowly enhance it with skills. If you’re fortunate enough, you’ll come across skills that can be exchanged for valuable currency or allow you to acquire unique items by selling them.
Regular Breaches will now substitute Charged, Pure, and Enriched ones. You can upgrade to Flawless with Blessings or access them through an Atlas Tree Passive. The balance between foes and rewards has also been tuned. Upgrades have also been made to:
- Breach Scarabs
- The Betrayal Research Safehouse
- Breachstones from Kirac Missions
- The Breach Harvest Crafting Option
- The Fragment Stash Tab
- Divination Cards
- Breach Unique Items
- Atlas Passives and more.
Abyssal Depths gained a mandatory Abyssal Lich and four-hole Abyss instead of one. Abyss Passives on the Atlas Tree were also upgraded, as well as Abyssal Lich encounters balance, Abyss Uniques, and Abyss Scarabs.
Eternal Orbs will return in Ruthless, although they will drop infrequently. Additionally, this game mode has gained players a new set of challenges to accomplish.
A new Crucible Challenge league will also be featured, beginning with a competitive boss kill event! The first one to take down the Uber Searing Exarch and Uber Eater of Worlds in Ruthless Hardcore Solo Self-found will be able to work on designing a new unique item! Additionally, they’ll get a VIP ticket to ExileCon.
Also, more customization has been added to the gameplay, including new build stats and Vaal Skills, upgraded Masteries, Link Skills, Marks, and Saboteur and Pathfinder Ascendancy abilities.
The End Game
The endgame will take you to The Forge of the Titans, a perilous place that hides an antique power: the capacity to melt a weapon, fusing its Crucible Passive Tree with that of a different weapon. You may craft some really potent skill trees for your weapons by using the Forge carefully, although its results can be volatile.
Another endgame activity will be the Atlas Gateways – nodes on the Atlas Passive Tree which will let you quickly get around different locations. You can travel from the left side to the right side of the tree and the other way around; this will let you interact with much more content faster.
Conclusion
Overall, the Path of Exile: Crucible will offer a thrilling and challenging experience for players looking for a new way to test their skills in the game. Path of Exile players are excited about Crucible for several reasons:
- It is a new game mode that offers a fresh challenge for players.
- The rewards for completing the Crucible are highly sought after, including unique items and powerful gems.
- The Crucible offers a competitive element, with players able to compete against each other for high scores and bragging rights.
POE Steam Stats Brake Records
Path of Exile: Crucible 3.21 was released on April 7th for PC and MAC, and later, on April 12th, it was made available on Xbox and PlayStation. The number of POE players on Steam has increased roughly 10 times since the release. That means stats had multiplied tenfold (or nine and a half times), going from 23,324 at 9 am PST to 211,637.
While the initial excitement has subsided somewhat, the statistics currently stand at 96,189, more than four times April’s base peak. Additionally, with an incredible 321,180 active players, the game surpassed its previous record of 50,000, breaking yet another record. Considering how Path of Exile has struggled to keep up with the Diablo franchise in the past, these are great numbers.
