League Of Legends Ranked And Clash: Schedule, Changes, Rewards, And More

When is the Ranked Split End Date?

Among many changes Season 13 brought was a new two-split system that divides the Ranked season into two parts, allowing you to keep track of your progress better and get more prizes. Thus, we should expect the mid-season reset, which is happening soon. So, if you want to know when the Ranked Split 2 begins and Split 1 ends, here’s the official announcement from Riot Games’ Twitter:

Get ready for a mid-season shakeup. On July 17 at 23:59 CST, your rank will reset, and Split 2 of the ranked season will begin, so keep on climbing

Hence, you don’t have that much time left to climb the ladder and earn rewards, so use it to reach new heights, especially when the prizes are so appealing.

What Rewards Does Ranked Split 1 Offer?

During the Ranked season, you can earn split points (SP) that are granted for winning. These can be spent on the rewards, such as skin shards, emotes, blue and orange essences, and more. Here’s what you can get for SP in Ranked Split 1:

  • 10 SP: Hextech Chest
  • 40 SP: Hextech Key
  • 80 SP: Random ward skin shard
  • 120 SP: Hextech Key
  • 160 SP: Ranked Emote Split 1
  • 200 SP: Hextech Key
  • 240 SP: K’Sante Champion Permanent
  • 280 SP: Hextech Chest
  • 320 SP: Ranked Summoner Icon Split 1
  • 400 SP: Mystery Emote
  • 480 SP: Hextech Chest
  • 720 SP: Eternals Series 1 Capsule
  • 800 SP: Masterwork Chest

Moreover, players now have a chance of winning Victorious skins. In this part of the Ranked season, you can get Victorious Anivia. For that, you only need to play matches, earn SP, and be at least Honor Level 2. However, the amount of points you need to obtain this reward is based on your rank.

Thus, if you’re Iron, Bronze, or Silver, the cost of the skin for you is 1600 SP. If you’re Gold or higher, you’ll need just 80 SP. But be aware that if you didn’t get the reward and got back from Gold to Silver, you will still need 1600 SP.

Split 2 will bring more changes to Ranked, including the brand-new Emerald rank, so now seems like a perfect time to reach the desired rank and earn all those sweet rewards while you can end this part on a high note and get ready for what’s coming next. But that’s not all changes that will come soon to the game. The devs have also prepared something new to Clash, about which we’ll talk next.

What's New for Clash?

After receiving players’ feedback, the devs decided to bring some changes to our favorite tournaments with the intent of making our experience better. One of the major ones is the altered frequency of Clash, which will now be reduced to 14 weekends compared to 22 weekends we had in 2022. The reason behind this is the developers’ desire to increase the number of participants per Clash and match players with teams with approximately the same skill level. And make the tournaments more exciting, of course.

Apart from this, Riot Games saw how much we enjoyed the ARAM Clash tournament last year and decided that starting from 2023, they will host one or two Non-Summoner’s Rift Clash tournaments per year. Thus, later this year, we will get two of these: one by the end of summer and another during winter. Exciting, isn’t it?

So, here’s the schedule of Clash Split 2:

Besides this, Riot Games made some changes to rewards that now look even more appealing.

New Clash Rewards

Another issue that was addressed by the devs is some teams quitting too soon after being eliminated from the main tournament, which limits their rewards to 5th place. That way, the remaining players are forced to wait around because their opponents left. Since it doesn’t look fair and doesn’t motivate players to stay for more games, Riot Games made some changes. Thus, now Clash Capsule and Orb rewards are distributed based not on the placement but on total wins during the tournament. Here’s what it will look like:

Basic Ticket Orb

Premium Ticket Capsule

Moreover, according to the creators, the number of tournaments per year won’t mean that we get fewer rewards. On the contrary, now you can receive double Victory Points per win with the amount of VP required for rewards remaining the same. Here’s what you can expect in exchange for VP:

Those are all Clash changes that we’ll see during the second half of the year. All of them sound exciting and, hopefully, they will really improve our experience.
