Gathering Farms
Dreamleaf Farm
Our first gathering farm is the Dreamleaf Farm in Val’sharah in the Broken Isles (Legion expansion). Depending on your speed and RNG, this farm can net you between 10,000 to 12,000 gold per hour. Here’s how to get started:
- Download Add-ons: Make sure you have GatherMate2 and GatherMate2 Data installed.
- Get Rank 1 Dreamleaf: Gather Dreamleaf until you receive a quest. Complete the quest by visiting the herbalist in Dalaran and returning to Val’sharah.
- Farm Dreamleaf: Fly around Val’sharah collecting Dreamleaf. A Nightmare Creeper occasionally spawns, providing a massive bonus of Dreamleaf when killed.
- Check Auction House Prices: Ensure Dreamleaf is selling for at least 5 gold per unit before farming.
Quintuple Herb Farm
Next, we have the Quintuple Herb Farm in Feralas. This farm gathers five herbs: Khadgar’s Whisker, Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Blindweed, and King’s Blood. You can earn 7,000 to 10,000 gold per hour. Here’s what to do:
- Fly Around Feralas: Gather every herb you see, focusing on the southeast side of Dire Maul.
- Use GatherMate2 Data: Find the best route for efficient gathering.
- Prioritize Herbs: Goldthorn is the most valuable, while Fadeleaf has the lowest sell rate.
Battle Pet Farms
Tiny Crimson Whelpling
This pet farm is located in the Wetlands in the Eastern Kingdoms. The Tiny Crimson Whelpling sells for 70,000 to 100,000 gold and can be farmed in 20 to 40 minutes. Here’s how:
- Farm Red Dragonkin: Head to coordinates 67.3 47.2 and kill the Ebon Slavehunters and Dragonmaw Whelpstealers.
- Respawn Rate: Mobs respawn every 15 seconds so that you can farm continuously.
Emerald Whelpling and Sprite Darter Hatchling
This double pet farm is in Feralas. Both pets can sell for close to 100,000 gold. Here’s the process:
- Kill Noxious Whelps: Head to coordinates 49.6 8.6 and kill Noxious Whelps.
- Efficient Looting: Kill for one minute, then loot for the next minute to maximize efficiency.
Open World Farms
- Sludge Fen Farm: Located in the Barrens, this farm involves killing Venture Co. goblins around a pond. You can earn a decent amount of gold from gray and white items, patterns, and green BOEs.
- Graves Farm: This farm is outside Zul’Farrak in Tanaris. Click on sand graves and kill the zombies that spawn. This farm is excellent for green BOEs and fills downtime between dungeon runs.
- Primal Wool Farm: In the Ohn’ahran Plains in the Dragon Isles, farm Wild Cliffhoof mobs for Primal Wool, which sells for 600 to 800 gold each. You can also collect Tallstrider Sinew from Hornstrider Runners.
- Admiral’s Den Farm: Located in Thousand Needles, this farm involves killing Den Whomper mobs for green BOEs and transmog items. The Saltstone set is precious.
- Lithic Farm: In Terokkar Forest, farm Lithic mobs for Arakkoa Feathers and green BOEs. You can make around 10,000 gold per hour.
Dungeon Farms
Vortex Pinnacle: Farm this dungeon in Uldum for volatile air and green BOEs. In 20 minutes, you can earn around 4,000 gold.
Maraudon: It is one of the best vanilla dungeons for filling your auction house with items. Run from one entrance to the other and reset.
Blackrock Depths: This dungeon has the most mobs of any vanilla dungeon. There are two main routes: one ending in the Black Vault room and another full clear.
Lower Blackrock Spire: Farm this dungeon for transmog items and valuable recipes like the Arcanite Champion.
Uldaman: Farm for rare items like the Pendulum of Doom and the Miner’s Hat of the Deep. There are also valuable plans and chests.
Wailing Caverns: Farm for medium-value green BOEs. Most people run up to Lord Cobrahn and then reset.
Razorfen Kraul: A fast and easy dungeon with rare BOE blue items worth up to 500,000 gold.
Razorfen Downs: This is a smaller dungeon with a solid amount of loot. There’s a path to the exit for easy resets.
Shadowfang Keep: Farm for the Shadowfang dagger, which sells for millions of gold. This dungeon is worth running for its high-value items.
Zul’Farrak: This is an excellent dungeon for filling your bags with green BOEs. You can clear the entire dungeon in less than 5 minutes.
Dire Maul: Farm all three wings for a variety of items. Look for Dusty Tomes for a chance to get Nat Pagle’s Guide to Extreme Anglin’.
Legacy Raid Farm
Black Temple
Farm the trash before the first boss for Motes of Water, which can be turned into Primal Water. In 25 minutes, you can earn around 4,000 gold.
Auction House Tips
- Post at Market Value: Items may take a few days to weeks to sell.
- Run Cancel Scans: Use TSM to run cancel scans frequently to ensure your items are always on the list.
- Create TSM Groups: Group your top-selling items to run cancel scans more efficiently.
